The absence of a payroll module would not prevent an ERP software solution from review, however, human resources and payroll are clearly a part of the ERP software scope so not having those capabilities would lessen the opportunity to be named a top ERP vendor.

At the minimum, a distribution software suite should offer Purchase Order Processing, Sales Order Processing and Inventory Management.
What software modules should be included in a customer relationship management system?
At the minimum, a CRM software suite should include Sales Force Automation (SFA), Marketing Automation and Customer Support.
